Current Openings 

Discipleship & Formation Pastor
Full-Time, 40 hrs, Salaried

As our church continues to grow and step into a new season, we are seeking a full-time Discipleship & Formation Pastor to help shoulder areas of discipleship, spiritual formation, and ministry initiatives alongside our Lead Pastor. This role will provide pastoral care, oversight of Midweek & Groups, and assist in teaching and equipping the body. We're looking for someone with a heart for abiding in Jesus, who is passionate about guiding others into deeper discipleship and helping cultivate a culture of spiritual formation in our church.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preach on Sundays at least every 4-6 weeks
  • Provide pastoral care through counseling appointments, care calls, and crisis support
  • Oversee Midweek gatherings and Community Groups
  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor on teaching series and calendar planning
  • Develop and lead discipleship and spiritual formation environments (i.e. New Believers, Spiritual Formation classes, etc.)
  • Help carry various ministry initiatives as the church grows

Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of proven pastoral ministry experience
  • Skilled teacher and communicator with a deep understanding of Scripture
  • Seminary degree or similar theological training
  • Experience leading teams and developing leaders
  • Emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Committed to cultivating a life of abiding in Jesus and guiding others into deeper discipleship

High School Director
Part-Time, ~20 hrs/week, Hourly

We are seeking a High School Director to provide leadership, discipleship, and relational care for our high school students. This role is relationally driven and strategically focused on helping teenagers take steps toward Jesus. The High School Director will oversee weekly programming, equip and support volunteer leaders, and partner with parents to disciple students. We’re looking for someone with a heart for teenagers, a passion for guiding them toward Jesus, and a desire to build a thriving, student-centered ministry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and teach weekly high school gatherings with age-appropriate, biblically sound content.
  • Recruit, equip, and care for volunteer leaders in the youth ministry.
  • Plan and facilitate events, camps, service opportunities, and discipleship experiences throughout the year.
  • Shepherd and disciple students, partnering with parents and the broader church community.
  • Collaborate with Middle School ministry and broader staff to ensure alignment with Bright City’s Next Gen strategy.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience leading youth in a church or ministry context.
  • Strong communicator and teacher of God’s Word with clarity, relevance and appropriate theological depth.
  • Relationally gifted with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust with students, parents, and volunteers.
  • Strategic thinker who can cast vision and equip others to lead.
  • Committed follower of Jesus with a heart for discipling teenagers and supporting their spiritual growth.

Kids Director
Part-Time, ~20 hrs/week, Hourly

At Bright City Church, we believe our children aren’t just the church of tomorrow, but of right now. We are seeking a Kids Director to provide leadership & vision to our Bright City Kids ministry, creating safe, fun, and gospel-centered environments where children can encounter Jesus. This role will oversee the vision for weekly programming, equip and care for volunteer leaders, and partner with parents to disciple kids. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about children, committed to biblical teaching, and gifted in leadership and relational ministry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and steward Bright City Kids, implementing a vision that glorifies God and fosters discipleship.
  • Oversee weekly children’s programming, ensuring classrooms are safe, fun, and engaging.
  • Recruit, train, and equip volunteers, building a leadership pipeline for long-term ministry impact.
  • Support parents by providing a reliable, loving environment for their children.
  • Partner with staff and check-in teams to maintain smooth, secure operations on Sundays.
  • Work with Kids Admin on execution of curriculum, room arrangements, scheduling, etc. 

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience leading children’s ministry in a church context.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to teach God’s Word in an age-appropriate, engaging way.
  • Relationally gifted with emotional intelligence, able to build trust with children, parents, and volunteers.
  • Strategic thinker who can cast vision, lead teams, and develop leaders.
  • Committed follower of Jesus with a heart for discipling children and supporting families.

Tech Director
Part-Time, ~10 hrs/week, Hourly

Bright City Church is seeking a Tech Director to ensure healthy, reliable, and God-honoring worship environments. This role oversees the audio, visual, and production systems that support our Sunday gatherings and special events, helping people encounter Jesus without distraction. The Tech Director will lead and equip volunteers, maintain equipment, and collaborate with staff to create excellent worship experiences. We’re looking for someone with a heart for service, technical expertise, and a desire to support ministry through high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain audio, visual, and production systems for Sunday services and special events.
  • Primary sound tech, running sound on majority of Sundays.
  • Work under Worship Director and Lead Pastor to ensure technical excellence and help fulfill vision for Sunday services. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and calmly during live events.
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and backstage/tech storage areas.
  • Evaluate current systems and recommend improvements for long-term stability.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in live sound, projection, video systems, or related technical ministry.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Strong communicator and team player, able to equip volunteers and collaborate with staff.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing equipment, schedules, and processes.
  • Committed follower of Jesus with a servant-hearted attitude toward ministry.
