As we step into this exciting new season of becoming Bright City Church (March 30, 2025), we're filled with anticipation for what God is building in and through our community. With this transition, we're adding a few new people to our team to help carry forward the vision of being a beacon of light that all will see Jesus.

Our team is small but mighty, driven by a heart for Jesus and deep love for our city. As we continue to grow, we're looking for passionate individuals who are ready to jump in, serve wholeheartedly, and help build the future of Bright City Church.

Current Openings

Social Media Manager
Part-Time, 10 hrs/week

We are looking for a creative, innovative Social Media Manager to help tell the story of what God is doing at Bright City through digital platforms. This role will help create and publish engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, working closely with our Lead Pastor and Photo Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and publish social media content to promote church events, sermon series, and stories of life transformation
  • Work with photographers to ensure fresh, high-quality content
  • Draft captions, create graphics, and edit short-form videos for social media
  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to develop a consistent voice and rhythm for Bright City’s digital presence

Ideal Candidate:
  • Creative with an eye for design and storytelling
  • Skilled in copywriting and content creation
  • Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools
  • Experience with photography, video editing, or graphic design (preferred)

Kids Admin
Part-Time, 15-20 hrs/week

Our Kids Ministry is growing, and we're looking for a Kids Admin to help carry the load of volunteer onboarding, scheduling, and team logistics. This role will work closely with our Kids Director to ensure our Kids Volunteers are supported, encouraged, and equipped to serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, background checks, and classroom orientations
  • Manage volunteer schedules across Sundays, Midweek, and special events 
  • Communicate with volunteer teams, helping support any last-minute needs or changes
  • Provide ongoing follow-up and care for volunteers

Ideal Candidate:
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong communicator and team player
  • Passionate about investing in the next generation
  • Experience with volunteer coordination and systems like Planning Center (preferred)

Middle School Director
Part-Time, 15-20 hrs/week

Our Youth Ministry has multiplied from one environment to three, and we are looking for a Middle School Director to step in and help carry the unique role of discipling middle school students. This role will report to the Youth Director and focus on implementing vision, leading Middle School Sundays and Wednesdays, and creating environments where students can encounter Jesus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee Middle School environments on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
  • Build relationships with students and families
  • Develop volunteer leaders to help disciple students
  • Collaborate with Youth Director to implement vision and teaching plans

Ideal Candidate:
  • Passionate about next-generation ministry
  • Relational and able to connect with middle school students and parents
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Team player with a heart for collaboration

Associate Pastor
Full-Time, 40 hrs, Salaried

As our church continues to grow and step into a new season, we are seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to help shoulder areas of discipleship, spiritual formation, and ministry initiatives alongside our Lead Pastor. This role will provide pastoral care, oversight of Midweek & Groups, and assist in teaching and equipping the body. We're looking for someone with a heart for abiding in Jesus, who is passionate about guiding others into deeper discipleship and helping cultivate a culture of spiritual formation in our church.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preach on Sundays at least every 4-6 weeks
  • Provide pastoral care through counseling appointments, care calls, and crisis support
  • Oversee Midweek gatherings and Community Groups
  • Collaborate with the Lead Pastor on teaching series and calendar planning
  • Develop and lead discipleship and spiritual formation environments (i.e. New Believers, Spiritual Formation classes, etc.)
  • Help carry various ministry initiatives as the church grows

Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of proven pastoral ministry experience
  • Skilled teacher and communicator with a deep understanding of Scripture
  • Seminary degree or equivalent theological training
  • Experience leading teams and developing leaders
  • Emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Committed to cultivating a life of abiding in Jesus and guiding others into deeper discipleship
