Be Real Together:

Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.

Before ascending into heaven, Jesus gives His followers a clear mission: to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. But He doesn't leave them empty-handed—He promises the Holy Spirit will empower them. These verses mark the shift from Jesus' earthly ministry to the ongoing work of the Church, sent into the world in His name.

Ask this question at your family meal or Discipleship Group.

How does knowing the Holy Spirit goes with you change the way you live out your faith this week?

Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DG or for personal study.

  1. The Spirit Goes With Us:
    Jesus told His followers to wait for the Holy Spirit before going out. How do you depend on the Spirit in your everyday life? Where are you being invited to wait or listen?
  2. The Testimony Flows From Us:
    Jesus called His disciples to be His witnesses. What does it look like to share your story with others in your current context—at home, work, or with neighbors?
  3. The Church Grows Beyond Us:
    The mission was never meant to stay small or local. How are you thinking beyond yourself or your immediate circle in how you live out your faith? What part can you play in helping the Church grow beyond your reach?

Pray Together:

Take time to pray with and for each other.

  • Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
  • Ask for boldness to be a witness in both word and action.
  • Pray for your Group to be empowered and unified as you live sent lives.

  • Encourage someone in your life who feels alone or overlooked.
  • Who is someone in your life who you want to see come to know Jesus? Commit to praying for them each day this week.
